Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our Clean Water Capital Delivery Team .  Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

Want to be a part of it?

You’ll be driving the day to day activities on our mains renewal schemes. Site Manager will be part of our Operations Team who are responsible for delivering mains renewal schemes for United Utilities.

You will be site based mostly north of Preston and may also be required to work on other site's in order to cover other site manager's if on holiday's. Your remit will be to lead and manage site teams and report to the Project manager. Set targets for day/week that are clearly understood by the team. Carry out and support SHEQ in toolbox talks, QA memos, liaise with client and highways. Co-ordinate resources to ensure delivery of required daily productivity. Monitor the quality performance of works.

Deliver schemes such as open cut, slip line, Pipe bursting and directional drilling to a high standard ensuring water quality regulations are met.

What you’ll bring

Knowledge and experience of the water industry

Water SHEA or CSCS.

Qualified Supervisor in NRSWA?

Valid UK driving License

Experience in managing both sub contractors and Direct teams

SSSTS equivalent or above

The ability to make decisions on site
