Site Manager – SUEZ Contract type: Permanent Working pattern: Full time Location: Lancaster, Salt Ayre Hours per week: 37.5 Dates of interviews: January 2026 Salary: £47,348 per year, plus company car or car allowance of £7,734.80 per annum. Benefits include up to 10% annual bonus, 3 × life assurance policy, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and 5% employer pension. Closing date: 31/12/2025 Summary We are looking for a Site Manager to manage the daily activities of our Salt Ayre site, identifying and implementing best practice for customer service, compliance and safety. You will hold full operational responsibility, including health, safety and environmental compliance; managing a team; managing performance KPIs for SUEZ and the local authority client; operating mobile plant; achieving high recycling and recovery rates; material flow management; providing excellent customer service to the local authority client and the general public. You will seek out value adding opportunities arising from the operations managed. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Manager and managing daily site activities. Full operational responsibility for health, safety, environmental compliance. Managing a team of site staff and performance KPIs. Operating mobile plant, ensuring high recycling and recovery rates. Managing material flow and providing excellent customer service to the local authority client and the general public. Seeking value‑adding opportunities within operations.
Requirements
WAMITAB level 4 or COTC and NEBOSH or IOSH certificate. Good communication and people‑management skills; confident dealing with internal and external customers; teamwork ability. Technical competence with COTC and a general safety qualification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with administrative operating systems. Supervisory experience. Willingness to travel to other Lancashire sites for holiday or sickness cover.
