Job Description

We’re looking for a freelance Electrical Site Manager to support data centre construction and installation works in Cardiff. This role suits someone who’s used to fast-paced technical projects and comfortable taking control of electrical activities on site.

What the role involves

  • Overseeing day-to-day electrical works on a live DC project
  • Coordinating electricians, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Reviewing electrical drawings, installation standards, and QA requirements
  • Ensuring all work meets UK regulations, DC specifications, and safety procedures
  • Managing site progress, resolving on-site issues, and keeping the project team updated
  • Supporting commissioning preparation and handover documentation

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in electrical site management, ideally on data centre, industrial, or large MEP projects
  • Solid understanding of LV/MV systems, containment, cable installation, and testing
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on site
  • Clear, practical communication skills
  • ECS/CSCS and relevant H&S certifications preferred
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Available for freelance/contract work in Cardiff
