Job Description

Finishing Site Manager\n\n * Immediate Start\n\n * Huntingdon Area (PE28)\n\n * Project - Housing\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Finishing Site Manager for a site-based role on a housing site in the PE28 postcode area (near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire).\n\nThis is a contract position starting immediately, with an expected duration of approximately 4 months, focusing on the final phases through to project completion and handover.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Act as the Health & Safety lead on site, including setting up and managing standard forms, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, site inductions, permits to work, inspections, and record keeping.\n\n * Review and approve suppliers' and subcontractors' health & safety documentation.\n\n * Provide support to the commercial manager and contribute to monthly progress reports.\n\n * Manage short-term programming to ensure timely completion.\n\n * Coordinate design with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.\n\n * Oversee procurement of suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, plant, labour, and materials.\n\n * Handle plant, labour, and material returns.\n\n * Manage project risks in terms of time and cost, implementing mitigation procedures.\n\n * Lead site meetings, subcontractor weekly meetings, design team meetings, and internal developer meetings with senior management.\n\n * Liaise with the office-based operations team for customer management.\n\n * Prevent and resolve disputes effectively.\n\n * Ensure comprehensive document management and record keeping.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience in a similar Finishing Manager or Site Manager role within construction, ideally on residential or developer-led projects.\n\n * Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid qualification highly desirable).\n\n * Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.\n\n * Ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders effectively.\n\n * Immediate availability essential.\n\nIf you are available to start immediately and have the relevant experience, please get in touch.\n\nImmediate start required – apply today
