We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for Energy Projects
To oversee and coordinate on-site activities for our solar installations. The successful candidate will ensure project goals are met on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
As a Site Manager for Energy Projects, you will be responsible for:
- Supervise daily activities at the project site, ensuring efficient and timely progress;
- Manage on-site teams, including fitters, electricians, contractors, and subcontractors;
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring all workers adhere to industry and company standards;
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that installations meet technical specifications, quality standards, and client expectations;
- Manage on-site resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, to avoid delays;
- Provide regular updates to project managers on progress, challenges, and resolutions;
- Address and resolve on-site issues, from equipment malfunctions to team coordination challenges;
- Act as the on-site representative for the client, inspectors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
To do this as a professional, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
- Experience as a fitter, installer, or technician in solar projects or a similar industry;
- Experience in managing large-scale solar installations is highly desirable;
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, mounting structures, and electrical components;
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for installation;
- Understanding of basic electrical systems and mechanical principles;
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings;
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments;
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely;
- English language skills are considered an advantage;
- Active Driving License – cat. B;
- Motivation and willingness to work with new technologies;
- Strong leadership and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
