Job Title: Site Manager – Shop Fitting & Refurbishment\n Location: - Leeds Head office\n Job Type: Freelance / Perm \n Salary: upto £70k \n\nJob Overview:\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of shop fitting and refurbishment projects across retail and commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing fast-track fit-out projects, ensuring high-quality standards, health and safety compliance, and timely delivery within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage day-to-day on-site operations for shop fitting and refurbishment projects.\n\nLiaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.\n\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.\n\nCoordinate and schedule trades and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.\n\nMonitor project progress, quality standards, and cost control.\n\nManage site documentation including method statements, risk assessments, site diaries, and progress reports.\n\nResolve any unexpected technical difficulties or delays.\n\nEnsure site presentation, cleanliness, and security at all times.\n\nAttend site meetings and provide updates to senior management and clients.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager in the shop fitting or refurbishment sector (retail experience desirable).\n\nExcellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and health & safety legislation.\n\nStrong leadership and communication skills.\n\nAbility to interpret drawings and specifications.\n\nSMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.\n\nCSCS card (Black or Gold ).\n\nFirst Aid at Work certification.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nFlexibility to work nights and weekends as required, with potential travel to various locations.\n\nDesirable:\n\nExperience in fast-track retail fit-outs and live environment refurbishments.\n\nNVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Site Management.\n\nBuild Recruitment Limited acts as an Employment Business for the supply of temporary workers and an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
