Site Manager at King James Academy Royston King James Academy Royston is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and reliable person to work with our dedicated site team. Work with the School Operations Manager to ensure facilities and associated resources are maintained to a high quality. Promote high standards of work for the Site Maintenance Team and serve as an excellent role model. Act as the link between day‑to‑day working and maintenance for the Trust and the Academy’s extended Leadership Team. Be responsible for security, general maintenance work and repairs, health and safety issues relating to the buildings, cleaning and porterage duties. Undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment and materials. Work a rolling shift between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., occasional weekend work on a 52‑week contract. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be an advantage as travel between sites may be required. Undertake statutory Health and Safety checks including daily/weekly/monthly recording where required. Be a key holder and attend emergency call‑outs for the school.
Qualifications & Requirements
Commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care. Positive, hard‑working and enthusiastic. Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and late evenings. Statutory DBS application is required before work can start.
