I supporting a leading civil engineering contractor who is urgently seeking a Site Engineer with strong setting out experience to join a water treatment project based in Southampton.\nThis is a 6 month contract role, starting Monday 19th Jan, offering an excellent opportunity for an engineer to play a vital role in the successful delivery of an infrastructure scheme.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * \n Perform all setting out activities on site to ensure works are accurately positioned in line with design this includes setting out pipework.\n * \n Provide day-to-day site engineering support and technical input.\n * \n Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.\n * \n Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.\n * \n Assist with site inspections, progress reporting, and issue resolution.\n * \n Produce and maintain accurate site records and documentation.\nCandidate Requirements:\n * \n Proven site engineering and setting out experience, ideally on water treatment or heavy civils projects.\n * \n Familiar with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.\n * \n Competent use of surveying equipment (total station, GPS, levels).\n * \n Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.\n * \n CSCS card holder (essential).\n * \n Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction.\nHow to Apply:\nIf you’re available to start Monday 19th Jan then please submit your CV today for immediate consideration
