Job Description
Role: Site Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineer \n\n Location: Greater Manchester & Wiltshire (Flexible to travel/stay away)\n Contract: £45.00 - £50.00 per hour DOE + Expenses (Outside IR35 / Ltd co.)\n Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10hr days - 6 months initially with likely extension\n\nJoin a dynamic FMCG engineering projects Team\n\nThe Role:\n\nWe are proud to represent a market-leading engineering EPCM organisation seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Project Engineer to deliver electrical projects across multiple prestegious FMCG food manufacturing sites in the UK.\n\nKey duties & Responsibilities:\n\n * Lead electrical projects from concept through to completion across FMCG manufacturing facilities\n\n * Manage design, installation, commissioning, and fault resolution of electrical systems\n\n * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards\n\n * Take full responsibility for labour planning, materials procurement, and project coordination\n\n * Produce electrical costings, quotations, and tender submissions\n\n * Hold full P&L responsibility, driving cost control and profitability\n\n * Act as the primary client interface, maintaining strong and lasting relationships\n\n * Identify new project opportunities and support business development\n\n * Lead, develop, and supervise teams of electricians (2–10 personnel)\n\n * Oversee RAMS , site safety, and compliance activities\n\n * Ensure all works comply with BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and NICEIC standards\n\n * Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments across live manufacturing environments\n\n * Maintain accurate technical and compliance documentation\n\n * Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to source materials and services\n\n * Support continuous improvement through innovation and efficiency initiatives\n\nCandidate Profile:\n\n * Technical & Industry Expertise - Strong background in FMCG electrical systems including LV power distribution and control systems\n\n * Experience with process and material handling equipment (mixing, conveying, cooking, packing, palletising)\n\n * Ability to integrate electrical systems with wider engineering and process operations\n\n * Apprentice trained with 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\n * Inspection & Testing (2391), ECS Manager Card, NEBOSH/SSSTS desirable\n\n * Minimum 10 years’ experience in FMCG electrical project delivery\n\n * Proven leadership, project management, and financial control capability\n\n * Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills\n\n * Flexible to travel / stay away UK wide with locations across the North West and in Wiltshire\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering organisation delivering complex, high-value projects within the FMCG sector.\n\n Interested?\n\nSend your CV to the G Force Recruitment team via CV Library.
