Sister/Charge Nurse - Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: Sarah Cannon Research Institute - Harley Street, London
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

At Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), you'll step into one of the most advanced and pioneering oncology environments in the UK. Our 12‑bedded clinical trials unit on Harley Street is the only private provider in the country delivering Phase I (first‑in‑human), Phase II and Phase III cancer trials - placing us at the forefront of global cancer innovation. Each month, we welcome 15-20 new patients onto studies, matching the pace and complexity of some of the busiest NHS research centres. This is a rare opportunity to lead within a setting where cutting‑edge science, compassionate care and world‑class research come together every day.

We are looking for an exceptional Sister/Charge Nurse to take operational leadership of our Chemotherapy Day Unit, managing a talented team of seven nurses and healthcare assistants while ensuring the safe, seamless and high‑quality delivery of both licensed and unlicensed SACT treatments. In this role, you will be a visible clinical leader, role‑modelling excellence in chemotherapy administration, advanced communication, and the management of complex oncology patients.

You will work closely with our Clinical Research Nurses to support the full lifecycle of clinical trials - from ensuring protocol‑driven care and accurate data collection, to responding to sponsor queries and helping activate new studies.

Your leadership will shape the patient experience, ensuring every individual receives outstanding medical, physical and emotional support throughout their treatment journey. You will foster a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement, championing clinical governance and supporting your team to grow, develop and deliver exceptional care.

This is an opportunity to influence the future of cancer treatment while advancing your own career in a highly specialised, innovative and deeply rewarding environment.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
