Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Data Centre Shift Engineer to join our critical facility team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across the site, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in critical environments or those looking to progress into them.Duties Operate and maintain all site electrical systems in line with industry codes and guidelines Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical equipment Troubleshoot and rectify faults on electrical and mechanical systems, escalating when necessary Install and modify electrical services as required Maintain accurate reporting via PPM and other computer-based systems Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status, isolations, ongoing works, and housekeeping standards Ensure plant rooms, workshops, stores, and rest areas are kept to the highest standard of housekeeping Operate and troubleshoot the following systems: Building electrical installations (panels, circuits, equipment) Emergency lighting and lighting control systems Building Management Systems (BMS) Fire detection and suppression systems Air conditioning systems (VAV, FCUs, split systems) AHUs, variable speed drives, heating systems Generators, UPS systems, and single/three-phase motors HV systems (training provided) Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in building services or electrical maintenance C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance Level 3 qualification in Electrical discipline HV Approved Person Confined Space entry trained (where required) Strong technical knowledge of building services, including UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, and HVAC systems Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff Proactive in achieving operational excellence Willingness to attend on/off-site training, which may include nights away from home Reliable, conscientious, and professional Integrity, honesty, and punctuality Whats on Offer Salary up to £52,000 per annum 12-hour continental shift pattern (days and nights) 20 days annual leave (no bank holidays) Long-term, stable role within a critical environment Ongoing training and development Company pension and benefits packageWhat to do now:If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply today or call07537 163 682to speak to Harry directly.JBRP1_UKTJ
