Job Title: Shift Maintenance Electrician\n\nOverview\n\n Responsible for ensuring plant and equipment are safe, operational, and maintained to minimize downtime. This role involves responding to breakdowns, performing planned maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEnsure plant and equipment are available and safe for use.\nRespond promptly to machinery breakdowns.\nFollow weekly planned maintenance schedules.\nComplete work orders accurately.\nMaintain a strong focus on personal and team safety.\nCommunicate and report engineering issues and resolutions to supervisors and the maintenance team.\nAssist other departments as required.\nWork flexibly as part of a team.\nPerform all work in compliance with electrical codes and standards.\n\nCore Processes\n\nConduct maintenance on electrical systems.\nIdentify and repair electrical problems.\nTroubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.\nTest electrical systems and components for proper functionality.\nComplete planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.\nHandle inverter control (change-out, setup).\nProgram and fault-find PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley).\nRead, create, and modify electrical drawings.\nDocument shift issues and communicate to incoming shifts.\nAttend maintenance meetings when required.\nMaintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience in medium to large process environments.\nStrong knowledge of electrical systems maintenance.\nAbility to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.\nFamiliarity with PLC programming and fault finding.\nCompetence in reading and modifying electrical drawings.\nUnderstanding of inverter control systems.\n\nPerformance Measurement\n\nAchievement of maintenance objectives.\nReduction of site downtime in line with KPIs. \n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
