Your day at NTT DATA
The Services Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert and a pre-sales professional working with clients and sales/delivery teams to design Managed Services solutions across multiple technology domains, contributing to value co-creation processes.
This role involves developing competitive, innovative, secure, multi-year Managed Services solutions and associated costing models. The architect applies both solution design and sales skills to engage and help close opportunities with decision-makers. It offers the chance to design solutions with some of the most innovative global organizations, leveraging technologies to accelerate digital transformation.
The architect may remain engaged during and after the implementation of services and participate in renewals as needed.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Design complex managed service solutions meeting client requirements by integrating technology and service design across multiple domains.
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and support installation and maintenance of company products.
- Design Managed Service offerings, collaborating with the platform delivery team.
- Test and validate new design features and delivery models, recommending improvements for market-ready services.
- Ensure supportability of service design deliverables, working with internal teams and partners.
- Support validation processes by obtaining sign-off from technical, service, and costing stakeholders.
- Design solutions that are commercially competitive while mitigating risks.
- Map client requirements against proposed service elements and architectures, coordinating end-to-end solution development (including Cloud Services, Architectures, SIAM, SLA, ITSM best practices).
- Use a consulting approach to define requirements, scope, transition documents, costing, and transformation roadmaps.
- Assist sales teams in presenting architecture solutions focusing on cost savings and growth opportunities.
- Share client outcomes and market insights to evolve strategies and develop innovative solutions.
- Support commercial model discussions with clients.
- Identify all service costs and ensure accurate cost modeling for full visibility over the contract term.
- Assist with vendor management and coordinate service transition processes.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Knowledge and Attributes:
- Deep knowledge of Managed Services delivery models, including cloud and global delivery.
- Experience with costing models in collaboration with sales and finance teams.
- Proficiency in Application and Cloud/Infrastructure Managed Services.
- Strong communication skills to articulate solutions and improvements to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and discover requirements effectively.
- Team-oriented with a contribution mindset, especially within matrix organizations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies like Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Data Analytics, Containers, RPA, IoT, and Automation.
- Analytical skills for input and data analysis.
- Passion for industry trends, learning, and growth in specialization.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT or related fields.
- Certifications in ITIL, Service Management, Automation, AI, Analytics, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) are preferred.
- Scaled Agile or similar certifications are desirable.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience designing managed services solutions for large enterprises.
- Experience structuring profitable multi-year contracts.
- Ability to create compelling value propositions and solution plans.
- Experience working in global delivery environments across industries.
