Service Technician / MOT Tester\n\nOverview\n\nWe are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles\n\n * \n\n Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)\n\n * \n\n Diagnose faults accurately using manufacturer diagnostic equipment\n\n * \n\n Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety\n\n * \n\n Conduct vehicle health checks and report any additional work required\n\n * \n\n Ensure all job cards, paperwork, and MOT records are completed accurately\n\n * \n\n Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment\n\n * \n\n Work collaboratively with the service team to meet productivity targets\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair\n\n * \n\n Valid MOT Tester Licence ( but not essential for the right candidate)\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Service Technician in a dealership or independent garage\n\n * \n\n Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines\n\n * \n\n A positive, professional attitude with good attention to detail\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive basic salary with bonus / overtime opportunities\n\n * \n\n Modern workshop with up-to-date equipment and tooling\n\n * \n\n Ongoing training and manufacturer development\n\n * \n\n Stable, long-term career opportunity\n\n * \n\n Supportive team and positive working environment
