Service & Installation Engineer
£32,000 - £35,000 + Company Van and fuel card + Overtime + On call allowance
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Service & Installation Engineer to join our team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment both on-site and in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical fault-finding skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing, maintenance, and repair of equipment
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out breakdown repairs
* Installation and commissioning of equipment
* Conducting pre-installation checks (PDI’s)
* Attending site visits as required
* Providing technical support and guidance to team members
* Participating in an out-of-hours rota (1 week in 4)
* Maintaining stock levels of parts on company vehicle
* Daily communication with the office (typically upon job completion)
* Supporting general team activities and tasks as required
* Assisting with workshop/warehouse organisation and vehicle upkeep during downtime
* Attending quarterly engineers’ meetings (covering H&S, ISO9001, and continuous improvement)
* Participating in ongoing training, including Health & Safety
Skills & Experience Required
* Essential:
* Electrical experience, including single-phase and three-phase systems
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Desirable:
* Basic hydraulic knowledge
* Mechanical experience
