Service Engineer

The role covers electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and building services systems.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and building services systems.
Service and test life-safety equipment such as fire alarms, extinguishers, and suppression systems.
Support HVAC systems, including boilers, ventilation, and air-conditioning units.
Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and ensure systems meet compliance standards.
Complete service reports, test certificates, and documentation accurately.
Work safely on site, preparing RAMS where required.
Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
Participate in occasional out-of-hours call-out cover.
Skills & Experience Background in service or maintenance engineering (electrical, mechanical, fire or HVAC).
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with building services and safety systems.
Good understanding of safe working practices.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications Recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualifications.
Experience with fire systems or HVAC equipment.
Relevant site safety certifications (e.g., ECS/CSCS, IPAF, PASMA).
