Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant - EIA & Consenting\n Location: London or Glasgow Offices \n\nAre you passionate about shaping a more sustainable future? Do you thrive on delivering impactful environmental solutions across major infrastructure and renewable energy projects?\n\nPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Environmental Consultant to join their expanding Environment team in Scotland.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant projects across the energy, transport, utilities, ports, and built environment sectors, while developing your career in a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nLead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related deliverables on a range of projects.\n\nCollaborate closely with technical specialists to deliver innovative, sustainable outcomes.\n\nManage client relationships and help develop new areas of business.\n\nMentor junior colleagues and support their professional development.\n\nPlay an active role in bids and business growth across Scotland and the wider UK.\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree or master's in an environmental or related discipline.\n\nChartered, or working towards chartership (e.g. IEMA, RTPI, LI, CIWEM, CIEEM).\n\nMinimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of EIA processes, consenting, and environmental management.\n\nExcellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.\n\nConfident in managing client needs and delivering high-quality outputs to deadlines.\n\nProactive, adaptable, and passionate about sustainability and environmental performance.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.\n\n25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell days).\n\nFlexible working arrangements and support for work-life balance.\n\nAccess to professional development, training, and mentoring programmes.\n\nSupport towards achieving and maintaining professional chartership.\n\nA collaborative culture focused on innovation, inclusion, and environmental excellence.\n\nFor more information or to apply, please contact Josh Jones at Penguin Recruitment on (phone number removed) or email
