Job Description

We are looking for a talented and aspiring Senior Urban Designer to join our highly motivated and passionate design team in Manchester.


About the role:


This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career in this newly created role within a vibrant and progressive employee-owned consultancy. We are a team of 15 Urban Designers working across the UK and Ireland. Our multi-faceted team comprises architects, landscape architects and designers with a planning qualification, giving us a unique and rich blend of skills and backgrounds.


In this role you will:


  • Be a highly skilled and passionate urban designer/senior urban designer who is confident, committed to their own development and at the forefront of professional best practice.
  • Be confident in how you discuss your ideas through both verbal and written or graphical communication.


The ideal candidate will have:


  • A degree and/or a post-graduate qualification in Urban Design, Architecture or relevant discipline is desired
  • Experience in UK housing and mixed-use projects gained in design, architectural and/or planning consultancies
  • Experience of contributing to master planning projects from inception to completion with particular emphasis on providing great client service and the delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Experience in the production of residential and mixed-use masterplans and strategic frameworks as well as Design and Access Statements, Design Codes and associated plans for both outline and detailed applications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft packages will be required with AutoCAD, 3D computer modelling, rendering, and hand drawing skills desirable.
