Senior Planner\n Location: Cheltenham\n\nPenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well regarded and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Planner to join their Cheltenham based team.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner to take on a key role within a collaborative consultancy environment, working on a varied portfolio of planning projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. The role would suit an experienced planner looking to take the next step in their career with increased responsibility and client exposure.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Senior Planner, you will manage planning projects from inception through to determination, providing high-quality planning advice and supporting the wider team.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nManaging and delivering planning applications and appeals of varying scale and complexity\n\nPreparing planning appraisals, statements and strategy reports\n\nLiaising directly with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders\n\nSupporting Local Plan representations and planning policy submissions\n\nMentoring and supporting junior planners\n\nAssisting with business development and client relationship management\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be successful in this Senior Planner role, you will ideally have:\n\nA degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline\n\nSeveral years' professional planning experience within consultancy or local authority\n\nStrong knowledge of the UK planning system\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nConfidence managing projects and client relationships\n\nProgress toward or achievement of MRTPI accreditation\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis Senior Planner position offers clear progression, exposure to high quality work, and the opportunity to play a senior role within a supportive and growing consultancy.\n\nIf you are interested in this Senior Planner position, please contact Joel Bland at Penguin Recruitment for further information
