Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

A global manufacturing business producing precision-engineered products is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer. This is a key role supporting operations, engineering and procurement to improve supplier quality, reduce defects and strengthen supply chain capability.

Role Overview You will lead supplier evaluation, development and performance improvement activities across a diverse supply base. Youll track supplier KPIs, drive root cause analysis, manage corrective actions and carry out supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Evaluate and approve new suppliers based on capability, process control and compliance Track supplier performance metrics and manage reporting dashboards Lead monthly supplier development meetings to address underperformance Manage 8D/root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions Conduct supplier audits and identify continuous improvement opportunities Maintain supplier quality documentation within the QMS Work cross-functionally with engineering, materials and manufacturing teams to improve incoming quality

Skills & Experience Degree/HND in engineering 10+ years experience in a manufacturing quality environment Strong knowledge of ISO9001, internal and supplier audit processes Experience developing suppliers and improving supply chain quality Skilled in quality tools: FMEA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto, PDCA, etc. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability Experience with ERP systems; Minitab knowledge is an advantage
