You will provide strategic architectural direction across multiple customer channels, schemes, and employer propositions, ensuring alignment with Retail and Group technology strategies.In this role, you will maintain an accurate enterprise architecture landscape, shaping both current and target‑state capabilities, platforms, and integrations. You’ll define and communicate a clear, outcome‑focused technology vision that supports growth, operational efficiency, resilience, and regulatory requirements.You will work closely with Agile, product‑centric, and transformation teams to ensure consistent delivery of the architectural roadmap while enabling appropriate local optimisation. A key part of the role is strengthening architectural capability across our digital and engineering teams, enhancing the overall maturity and impact of the architecture practice.What you\'ll be doing:Defining and maintaining the end‑to‑end Workplace Savings technology strategy and implementation roadmap in partnership with business, product, and technology leaders, ensuring alignment with Retail and Group prioritiesProviding architectural leadership across multiple value streams and delivery teams, ensuring architectural intent is clearly understood, consistently applied, and effectively managed across platforms, channels, and suppliersOwning and evolving the Workplace Savings technology estate—including member and employer channels, core administration platforms, data, integrations, and operational tooling—to ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and coherent solutionsIntroducing innovative technologies that significantly enhance member and employer experiences while improving operational efficiency, time‑to‑market, and service quality across digital, contact centre, and operational channelsDesigning solutions that meet changing pensions, savings, and Consumer Duty requirements, embedding resilience, security, auditability, and data protection into architectures by defaultRepresenting Workplace Savings Architecture across Retail and Group, contributing to wider architectural standards and helping attract, develop, and inspire high‑quality engineering and architecture talentEnsuring architectures uphold Treating Customers Fairly principles by enabling consistent, transparent, and accessible experiences across schemes, brands, and customer channelsInfluencing strategic decisions by shaping solution designs, guiding architectural governance, resolving cross‑domain challenges, and providing clear options, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholdersWho we\'re looking for:Degree or equivalent professional experienceStrong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technology strategies and architectural principlesBroad understanding of modern technologies used in digital customer experiences, data insights, and customer‑servicing optimisationSolid awareness of capital markets; experience within asset management is advantageous but not essentialFamiliarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar iterative delivery methodologies, and an understanding of the architectural expectations within these environmentsKnowledge of API‑led architecture and the technologies that underpin the API economyAwareness of technology‑driven disruption across industries and the ability to interpret its potential impact on financial servicesProven experience designing and guiding the implementation of scalable, modern technology solutions within Agile delivery environments, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with business stakeholdersWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
