Location: Sutton Contract Type: Freelance Start Date: ASAP Day Rate: £300 - £350 per day depending on experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new warehouse facility. This is a freelance role suited to a highly organised leader with a strong background in industrial or logistics-sector builds. You will take full responsibility for site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations across all phases of the warehouse build Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel Ensure all works meet programme timelines, quality expectations, and budget requirements Oversee site health & safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce compliance Monitor progress, report regularly to the Project / Contracts Manager, and maintain all site documentation Resolve technical or operational issues promptly and effectively Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and inspectors as required

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on warehouse, industrial, or steel‑frame projects Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black / Gold), and First Aid certification Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain a well‑organised site Competent with reporting tools, site documentation, and quality control processes
