As a Senior SI Engineer, you will be involved throughout all stages of control projects—from design and development to testing and commissioning. You'll create intuitive PLC and HMI software, develop SCADA solutions for monitoring and control, and reverse engineer existing systems to produce accurate and detailed documentation. You will also mentor colleagues, share your expertise, and help foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement within the team.
Required Skills:
Proven experience with Siemens (and ideally Rockwell) hardware and software
Strong background in water and wastewater treatment sectors
Demonstrated success in delivering complex control projects
Ability to interpret client standards and user requirements effectively
Skilled in reverse engineering control software with precision
Excellent communication, time management, and project coordination skills
Commercial awareness with a focus on adding value
Full UK driving license for flexible travel
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with additional control hardware or software platforms
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems
Previous involvement in multidisciplinary projects
Certifications related to control system engineering or safety standards
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field
Several years of hands-on experience in control system engineering, particularly in water/wastewater environments
Other Requirements:
Willingness to undertake occasional travel across UK sites
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
