Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker
to join an
established and reputable childrens care provider
supporting young people with
emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) . This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about making a positive impact on young peoples lives within a residential setting. About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes their emotional wellbeing, development, and independence. The role involves
working longer shifts, including sleep-ins , which allows for a
reduced number of shifts per week , offering a more condensed and balanced working pattern. Key Responsibilities
Support and care for children with EBD in a residential setting
Act as a positive role model and build strong, trusting relationships
Assist in implementing care plans and behaviour management strategies
Support day-to-day routines, including education, activities, and appointments
Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of all young people at all times
Work collaboratively with the wider team and external professionals
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience working in a residential childcare setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to work shifts including sleep-ins
