We're now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team taking commercial lead on a project in Darlington , where you'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the Pollam Hall School project – a high-profile scheme that will leave a lasting legacy.
Your role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial oversight on this exciting project, managing cost and risk while ensuring value for money and contractual compliance.
You'll be involved from early-stage feasibility through to final account, working closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
You'll also: Lead procurement and manage subcontractor packages Prepare and assess applications for payment Monitor project expenditure and produce CVRs Manage change control and mitigate commercial risk Mentor junior team members and share your expertise What we're looking for: We're after someone with A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts Experience in main contracting and large-scale 2-stage bids A collaborative, trusted, and focused approach – aligned with Kier's values A full UK driving licence What you can expect from us: At Kier, you'll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
