Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at our Stepps, ESD office with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for the Commercial Management of Project(s).

Key responsibilities will include:

Quantity surveying duties related to managing projects and work packages
Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs
Collaborating with the client to meet business requirements
Managing the main contract, ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary
Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
Assisting in the management and performance of subcontractors
Managing the preparation and agreement of payment applications
Preparing project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts
Assisting in the management and development of junior commercial staff

Additional responsibilities include:

Ensuring continuous professional development through external networking, conferences, associations, and groups to stay current on industry changes and innovations
Maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing open and honest feedback
Undertaking other duties, training, or hours of work as reasonably required and consistent with the role's responsibilities
Presenting a professional and positive image of the department and company in all internal and external contacts, and maintaining constructive relationships
Taking all reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality
