Senior Quantity Surveyor
to support and take ownership of commercial delivery and procurement across key trade packages on large-scale residential schemes. This role offers clear progression into a full Commercial Lead position, with exposure to procurement strategy, supplier sourcing and package ownership. The Role Working closely with technical and construction teams, you will play a key role in ensuring packages are procured effectively, costs are controlled and commercial risks are identified early. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, not just reporting. What You'll Be Doing Supporting commercial management across key trade packages Assisting with budgets, cost plans and CVRs Monitoring financial performance and identifying risks early Supporting procurement across packages including groundworks, RC frame, façade, MEP Assisting with tendering, subcontractor comparisons and contractor engagement Supporting sourcing of subcontractors, suppliers and materials Benchmarking pricing and identifying cost-saving opportunities Assisting with JCT contract administration including variations, valuations and final accounts Working closely with technical and site teams to ensure commercial decisions support delivery Supporting value engineering and efficient procurement routes What They're Looking For Experience within a developer or contractor as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS Experience working on residential schemes (50+ units) Exposure to package procurement and cost reporting Interest in procurement, supplier sourcing and commercial strategy Basic understanding of construction sequencing and package interfaces A proactive, reliable and commercially aware approach This Role Is Not For Candidates looking for a purely administrative or reporting role Individuals unwilling to take ownership or step up Passive candidates who prefer to be directed rather than drive Why Apply Clear progression into a more senior commercial leadership role Exposure to procurement strategy, buying and supplier sourcing Work on large-scale residential developments in London Join a growing business with a strong pipeline and long-term opportunity Gain broader commercial experience beyond traditional QS responsibilities Apply If you are a commercially minded QS looking to take the next step in your career and gain real ownership across procurement and delivery, this is an opportunity to grow quickly within a supportive but ambitious environment.
