We have an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us to deliver a £42M new build education campus in Mayfield (Dalkeith)

Location: Dalkeith, - some flexibility to work from home
\n\n
Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
\n\n
What will you be responsible for?
\n\n
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, delivering a modern energy efficient school and community campus that will be a fantatsic asset to the local community. You will take a key role in managing the cost and cashflow through effective commercial management of sub contractors and client reps under the contract conditions.
\n\n
Your day to day will include:
\n- \n
- Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement. \n
- Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages. \n
- Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value. \n
- Managing applications for payment from sub-contractors \n
- Preparation of applications for payment to clients. \n
- Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports) \n
- Preparation of final accounts \n

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you can demonstrate.

Skills & Experience:
\n- \n
- \n
- Experience working within the main contractor environment \n
- Have comprehensive knowledge of NEC / JCT Contract conditions \n
- Are able to create monthly CVR reports \n
- Comfort in dealing with client reps, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders \n
\n
Qualifications and Accreditations
\n- \n
- Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying \n
- Full UK Driving Licence \n
\n
