£70,000–£90,000 | Full-time, office-based (5 days per week)

A reputable regional main contractor who have been operating for over 30 years is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their thriving commercial team in Bishop’s Stortford. You’ll oversee a portfolio of refurbishment, build and fit-out projects typically ranging from £500k–£5m, working with a steady pipeline of long-term, reliable clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial delivery of multiple live projects simultaneously

Oversee monthly valuations, cost reporting and cashflow forecasting

*

Lead subcontract procurement, assessment and payment processes

*

Monitor project financial performance and identify risk/opportunity

*

Prepare and negotiate variations and final accounts

*

Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company procedures

*

Work closely with site teams to track progress and maintain commercial control

*

Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners

*

Contribute to commercial strategy and help maintain healthy project margins

*

Attend regular progress meetings and provide clear commercial updates

*

Review and approve subcontractor applications and change orders

*

Support programme delivery by resolving commercial issues promptly

*

Maintain accurate project documentation and audit-ready records
