Senior Quantity Surveyor

Pinnacle are looking to speak to Senior Quantity Surveyors, with a strong background in rail infrastructure, specifically across civil engineering and signalling projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to support high-profile rail programmes, ensuring robust cost control, contract management, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of rail projects, from pre-contract through to final account

* Prepare, review, and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts

* Administer contracts (e.g. NEC forms) including compensation events and variations

* Conduct value engineering and cost optimisation exercises

* Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts

* Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting

* Support project teams in risk management and mitigation strategies

* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior QS within the rail sector

* Strong background in civil engineering and signalling projects

* Extensive knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)

Pay is £400- £450 (DOE) per day outside IR35.
