ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

• Build and promote a strong culture of commercial awareness within the project team

• Ensure compliance with company governance and procedures

• Produce internal and client-facing commercial reports

• Prepare valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentation

• Compile cost reports and ensure contractual compliance

• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisitions through to final accounts

• Lead on subcontract and material procurement schedules

• Administer contracts, including change management and risk identification

• Apply cost allocation and coding to meet internal/external requirements

• Measure works to standard methods

• Engage positively with client representatives

• Support, mentor and manage junior commercial staff

ABOUT YOU

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying

• Strong civil engineering and/or rail background (rail experience preferred)

• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor

• Professional membership (RICS / ICES) or working towards chartership

• Sound understanding of NEC contracts and standard methods of measurement

• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills

• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites when required will be required

• Up to £65,000 basic salary with a discretionary bonus
