We are currently recruiting for a full-time QS to join our team and help deliver exceptional dewatering solutions across the UK. As a leader in the field with a growing client base, we strive to employ the best people for the job, who are keen to get their hands stuck in and cultivate a career in the industry.
In this role you will be driving and spearheading the front-end process for all our new projects and clients, ensuring the contracts created are comprehensive, accurate, and detailed. You will interact with multiple departments in the company to ensure seamless processes whilst being responsible for contractual compliance. Essentially, we’re looking for someone to take our business to the next level, and someone who is wanting to build a robust future in business and contract management.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the financial management of jobs of all sizes and in all locations, including the tendering, negotiation and agreement of contacts with existing and new clients. As such, previous experience in managing large portfolios is essential, alongside previous experience in managing civil-engineering focused NEC contracts. You will be working on your own in a growing team, and will need to do all aspects of the role.
*Principal Responsibilities*
· Ensure the contractual interests of the company are carried out efficiently and in line with company processes, with full responsibility over maintaining seamless communication between supplier, client and Alba Dewatering, where applicable.
· Take ownership over the contracts arm of the business.
· Building long term relationships with existing and new clients, including development of accounts/contracts, as well as assisting with the administration of contracts and providing professional guidance.
· Supporting the business to develop new accounts/contracts, adding engineering expertise and knowledge to support tender bids
· Supporting/advising on budget planning in liaison with the Office and Managerial teams.
· Adhere to ISO standards/ Health & Safety initiatives/processes within the workplace
· Drive for best practices in relation to the above, and look for ways to improve processes where applicable.
*Who are we looking for?*
· Experience in managing civil engineering contracts; proficiency in NEC 3 & 4
· Good general working knowledge of construction contracts and processes
· Experience in commercial processes, and large-scale project management
· Financial experience of managing portfolios from 100K to £10M
· Customer Care / Satisfaction Skills in a client facing environment
· Experience of working within and managing / supervising within mobile / static site operations
· Strong IT skills
· An individual who strives for continuous professional development, and excels when given the opportunity
· Full UK Driving Licence

Salary: Starting from £50,000 per year, depending on experience
