Fawkes & Reece South are working with an established civil engineering contractor who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor. They work in collaboration with private clients and local authorities on highways and infrastructure schemes in the South of England. Their projects range from £50k to £5m. Scope of works includes roads, kerbing, pilling, landscaping, earthworks and drainage.
Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your role will be to lead commercially on NEC based projects. Due to an increase in workload, you will be working on multiple projects at the same time.You will be involved in (but not limited to): Accurate monthly forecasting Ability to challenge resources and costs Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain Producing compensation events and monitoring change control Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc. Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account Requirements including certificates and qualifications: Degree-qualified or equivalent Ideally having previously worked on civil engineering or infrastructure projects You'll need good working knowledge and experience with the NEC contracts Have the right to work in the UK The successful candidate will get to work for a modern employer who values its staff.
