We’re Hiring: Senior Quantity Surveyor & Quantity Surveyor – Major UK Infrastructure Programme (£600m)

Location: Cumbria | ️ Sector: Large-Scale Civil Engineering | Tier 1 Contractor

Are you an experienced commercial professional with a passion for delivering major civil engineering projects? We have two fantastic opportunities to join our growing commercial team on one of the UK’s most nationally significant infrastructure programmes.

Available Roles

1️⃣ Senior Quantity Surveyor

£55,000 – £70,000 + £5,750 car allowance

2️⃣ Quantity Surveyor

£40,000 – £45,000 + £5,060 car allowance

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting for key work packages

Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts under NEC contracts

Overseeing subcontractor performance and payment applications

Supporting risk management and ensuring strong commercial governance

Providing sound commercial advice to project teams

Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

✔ Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or related field)

✔ Proven experience on large civil infrastructure projects

✔ Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts

✔ Confident communicator with excellent analytical and negotiation skills

It’s a Bonus If You Have

⭐ Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors

⭐ Knowledge of cost management software and digital reporting tools

⭐ Professional membership (e.g., RICS)
