We are working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong and secure pipeline of work across Central Scotland, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, groundworks and associated enabling works.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for one or more live projects, supporting the delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners, playing a key role in cost control, risk management and commercial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account
*
Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets and forecasts
*
Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
*
Measurement, valuations, variations and change control
*
Preparation and agreement of interim applications and final accounts
*
Commercial reporting to senior management
*
Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity
*
Working closely with site and project teams to support successful delivery
About You
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
*
Strong understanding of NEC or similar civil engineering contracts
*
Commercially astute with strong negotiation and communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
*
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent experience)
*
Full UK driving license
