Job Description:

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to work for our client within the banking sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds or Edinburgh.
In this role, you will drive the testing strategy and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of their risk management platforms.You’ll work closely with software and data engineers, product owners, architects, and risk business teams to embed a quality-first culture. Your mission: ensure their systems operate with precision, speed, scalability, and security - all whilst aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Define and implement data testing strategies to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Utilize test data management tools to create, manage, and maintain test data sets.
• Develop and execute data transformation tests using DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Automate data testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results for transparency and traceability.
• Provide regular reports on data quality metrics and testing progress.
