This Senior Project Manager role is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex capital construction and refurbishment projects across a multi-site estate, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The team delivers a wide range of services including capital development, facilities management, maintenance, sustainability initiatives, and strategic estate planning.\n\nDue to a growing pipeline of capital investment and redevelopment programmes, the organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex construction and refurbishment projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to long-term estate transformation while working in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.\n\nDescription\n\nLead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, from initial feasibility through to completion and handover\nManage multiple projects simultaneously across refurbishment, redevelopment, and new-build schemes\nDevelop and implement robust project governance, risk management, and reporting frameworks\nOversee design development, procurement strategies, tender processes, and contract administration\nEnsure full compliance with statutory requirements, building regulations, and health & safety legislation\nManage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders\nMonitor project performance to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards\nLead financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control\nDrive value engineering and procurement strategies to ensure best value outcomes\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners\nRepresent the organisation at stakeholder meetings, consultations, and project reviews\nEmbed sustainability principles and environmentally responsible practices into project delivery\nSupport continuous improvement across project management processes and estate development initiativesProfile\n\nExtensive experience delivering major capital construction or redevelopment projects within complex environments\nProven expertise in project planning, procurement, contract management, and construction delivery\nStrong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts\nDemonstrated ability to manage projects within live, operational environments\nExperience managing significant project budgets (typically £10m+)\nStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in client-facing roles\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure\nExperience working within large, multi-site estates or similarly complex organisations\nProfessional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent) or working towards desirableJob Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package\nOpportunity to lead high-profile capital projects with long-term impact\nCollaborative and supportive working environment with multidisciplinary teams\nExposure to a diverse portfolio of refurbishment and development schemes\nFlexible working arrangements\nClear opportunities for career progression and professional development\nA role combining strategic oversight with hands-on project delivery within a growing estate programme\nBase ranges from £62k-£71k
