We are seeking an experienced professional to deliver Principal Designer services in line with the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) across a varied portfolio of residential projects, including Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy with a strong reputation for quality, compliance, and client service, as Principal Designer (Building Regulations), you will work with Housing Associations, Local Authorities, and private sector clients, delivering Principal Designer services across the design and pre-construction stages.Key responsibilities include: Delivering Principal Designer (Building Regulations) duties in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022Ensuring design teams are competent and appropriately resourced to discharge their dutiesReviewing and monitoring design work to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Building Safety requirementsReviewing Building Safety Cases and supporting project compliance strategiesAttending design team and client meetings in line with agreed scopes of serviceReviewing existing designs, specifications, and technical documentation for regulatory complianceManaging and monitoring design changes through agreed Change Management proceduresObtaining written confirmation from designers and consultants confirming compliance with Building RegulationsPreparing and submitting signed competence declaration.
