Title: Senior Planning Engineer Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days on site / 2 days remote) Salary: £70-95,000 + benefits package
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading, dynamic consultancy on a major construction programme based in London.
The Senior Planning Engineer will join a consultancy renowned for delivering innovative solutions across some of the UK’s most complex construction, infrastructure and engineering projects.
As a key member of the project team, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases of the programme. Your strong NEC contract knowledge will be crucial in maintaining compliance, mitigating risks, and optimising project performance.

Duties
Developing and managing robust project plans using Primavera P6. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met. Identifying risks, forecasting delays, and implementing strategic mitigation plans. Navigating and advising on NEC contracts to ensure full compliance and project efficiency. Producing insightful reports and presenting key project data to stakeholders.
Candidate
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer on complex construction programmes. Excellent civil engineering experience and knowledge. Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6 – essential. Strong NEC contract experience with the ability to provide sound contractual advice. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. A solution-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
