Senior Quantity Surveyor - M&E Fit Out


Location: London (Canary Wharf)

Sector: M&E Fit Out

Salary: £95,000 per annum + bonus


Role Overview


The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of M&E fit out projects from inception through to completion. The role will involve working across projects valued up to £15 million, with consideration given to candidates who have managed projects up to £20 million. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial control, maximising profitability, and supporting project delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of each scheme.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the commercial aspects of M&E fit out projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Oversee project costs, budgets, and financial reporting to ensure profitability targets are achieved
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
  • Prepare and present accurate cost forecasts and reports
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities across projects
  • Support project teams to ensure successful delivery in line with financial objectives
  • Ensure all commercial activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements


Requirements


  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E fit out or commercial projects
  • Experience delivering projects valued between £7 million and £15 million, with exposure up to £20 million considered
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain professional relationships
