Job Description
We’re looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join a specialist engineering group responsible for driving production performance and scaling up advanced manufacturing processes. Each role will take ownership of a distinct technical area within the wider production environment and act as the main point of contact for all manufacturing-related input for that domain.
You’ll help shape how products move from concept to repeatable, high-quality production by defining processes, developing tools and fixtures, and ensuring that everything is robust, efficient, and ready for scale. These roles include leading improvement initiatives, advising project teams, and supporting wider operational functions to optimise cost, throughput, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate production tooling, process instructions, and quality controls
Lead and contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and manufacturability studies
Apply structured improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, data-driven analysis) to reduce variation and improve process stability
Review and refine existing manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency and minimise defects or waste
Work closely with operational, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to support smooth product delivery
Coach colleagues, lead structured problem-solving activities, and bring forward new ideas for process advancement
Liaise with external partners and suppliers to resolve issues, strengthen component quality, and support readiness for volume production
Operate with a high level of independence while guiding others through technically complex challenges
What You’ll Need
Degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
Strong background in manufacturing engineering within a technical or industrial environment
Experience with 3D modelling tools and product definition standards
Confident communicator who can collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions
Practical experience applying Lean/Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methods
Comfortable working with data, process capability metrics, and performance indicators
Capable of leading risk-based activities and mentoring less experienced team members
Proactive mindset with a focus on problem prevention and long-term process robustness
Working knowledge of common office software and project/production tracking tools
