We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, CCO Governance. .

The role supports the Group COO Chief Control Office (GCOO CCO) within the Business Risk and Resilience (BRR) function, providing governance expertise and oversight on risk and control matters. Reporting to the Head of Risk Framework and Governance, the role ensures high-quality risk and control information is prepared for senior governance forums (including Board-level committees) . The role holder acts as a trusted advisor on governance processes, the Risk Management Framework, and control-related topics across GCOO and the wider bank.

In this role you will:

• Coordinate, draft, and oversee high-quality risk and control papers and briefing notes for the Group COO, Board-level committees, and internal governance forums.
• Review and challenge governance submissions (e.g., RCMM inputs) to ensure risks and control deficiencies are clearly and accurately articulated.
• Support the development, refresh, and continuous improvement of governance models, processes, and frameworks in line with policy.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the Risk Management Framework, providing informed views on risk and control topics across GCOO and the wider bank.
• Continually assess operational risks, ensuring responses account for changes in regulations, market conditions, and organisational structures.
• Work with senior stakeholders across GCOO, Global Businesses, and Global Infrastructure to ensure consistent and aligned risk and control messaging.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:-

• Proven ability to write governance papers and produce concise, impactful written materials for senior executives and Board-level committees
• Strong experience on Helios and knowledge of the risk management framework
• Ability to critically assess risk/control information for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
• Skilled at engaging, influencing, and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.
• Effective at working across teams to align messaging, reduce complexity, and drive improvements.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
