As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding banking experience. You will work in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive environment with a geographically distributed team. We value curiosity, a keen interest in new technology, solution-oriented thinking, and a focus on customer needs. Our teams specialize in Cloud Platform Engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure 24/7 operation with a focus on stability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Design and enhance infrastructure technologies and processes, including EKS/Istio deployment and AWS account management.
- Develop and support a cloud platform for application developers to improve their SDLC and developer experience.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to plan improvements and manage projects.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering, with advanced experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications in AWS.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes operations, particularly EKS.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines covering the full SDLC.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and SDLC best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with data streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Experience with modern databases such as PostgreSQL and CockroachDB.
- Experience developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
