SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER - ALL OFFICES

The Senior Interior Designer works closely with Interior Design Project Managers to provide design and coordination throughout the design, development, and delivery of a range of interior design projects. The role requires leading the design process, managing projects within established timelines, resolving complex design issues, and communicating effectively with teams and clients. The position demands a strong understanding of current design trends and advanced proficiency in Revit, InDesign, and Photoshop. Responsibilities
Establish project schedules, deliverables, and define necessary staff resources. Assist and lead the ideation, conceptualization, and schematic design development of various commercial interior design projects. Coordinate design deliverables with professional services including Architectural, MEP, and Lighting consultants throughout the lifecycle of a project. Follow project schedule and standard drafting practices, and review standard reference sources to achieve design intent and concise construction documents. Review completed drawings for conformance to project program, specifications, approved practices, standards, and building codes. Perform construction administration: review RFIs, project submittals, and conduct site visits as needed. Manage, mentor, and lead junior interior design staff during all phases of work for each project. Serve as contact liaison with the client and project team, ensuring project completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction. Actively participate in client and project meetings, offering design and technical recommendations regarding project development. Meet project schedules and maintain positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
15+ years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture from a CIDA-accredited college or university. 8+ years of related experience with multifamily, commercial, and/or hospitality projects. NCIDQ Certified and Licensed, Certified Interior Designer, or on track for professional licensing. Proficient in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch‑Up, and Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to multitask, work as part of a team, and work independently on multiple projects. Strong organizational and communication skills. Versatile, self‑motivated, articulate, and collaborative. Exceptional organizational skills. Strong resume with desire for continued professional growth. Additional graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
