Hybrid – Regional travel a minimum of 2 days a week

£40,000 - £45,000 plus up to 15% bonus

40 hours per week Monday – Friday

We’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR team. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, You’ll play a key role in driving people strategies that support business success, aligning HR initiatives with both business and employee objectives, delivering a proactive and comprehensive HR service to your area of responsibility. A key part of your role will involve managing and coordinating complex employee relations casework, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.

Key Responsibilities


Manage and coordinate employee relations case work for your allocated business area, providing expert advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations matters ensuring compliance with company policies and employment law, escalating high risk cases to the HR Business Partner
Identify skills gaps and support the development of line manager capabilities through coaching and delivering training programmes in collaboration with the L&D team
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with line managers and other stakeholders
Use HR data to review HR KPIs, identify trends, inform decision making and drive continuous improvement e.g. absence, attrition, days to hire
Works with the talent acquisition team and line managers to assess recruitment activity and identify any risks. Review role profiles and update as necessary. When required, interview candidates with line managers to help determine candidate suitability for specific management roles
Support the HR Business Partner with succession planning and talent management activity as required
Support the HR Business Partner with business change and workforce planning from design to implementation, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the business
Provides support and cover for the HR Business Partner when needed, e.g. cover leadership calls/meetings
Review and support the HR Advisor in the management of all absence cases
Support the HRBP and Reward team with the annual pay review
In collaboration with the HRBP evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of reward, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, e.g. local inductions, recognition awards


Key Skills


Extensive knowledge of HR principles, practices and employment law
CIPD qualified or working towards or willing to work towards
Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to analyse data
Decision making & problem-solving skills
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365
