Senior Financial Controller - Manufacturing SME

Location: Tewkesbury - office based

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 (potentially more)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join a growing manufacturing SME and lead the finance function with real influence and autonomy.

\n\n

 

\n\n

We're looking for a commercially minded individual who can develop the team and provide accurate and timely financial control alongside commercially-focused insight to support strategic decision-making.

\n\n

A brief summary of responsibilities

\n\n

\n\t
• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
\n\t
• Lead and develop the finance team
\n\t
• Provide commercial insight to support pricing, contracts, and margin improvement
\n\t
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial stability
\n\t
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis
\n\t
• Strengthen financial governance, controls, and compliance
\n\t
• Partner with senior leaders to support growth and operational efficiency

About you

\n\n

 

\n\n

\n\t
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified
\n\t
• Strong management accounting background within manufacturing
\n\t
• 3-5 years' experience in a senior finance role
\n\t
• Proven leadership and commercial partnering experience
\n\t
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
\n\t
• Confident communicator with board‑level exposure
