Senior Finance Manager (Energy from Waste)\nMidlands/Home-based\n£-Attractive salary and benefits package including a company car or car allowance\nOur client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK.\nA vacancy currently exists for a Senior Finance Manager to provide high-quality financial leadership and support across three of the company’s Energy from Waste (EfW) plants – one in Nottingham, one in Lincoln and one in Edinburgh. You will ensure accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making and the achievement of the Group’s financial objectives.\nThis role plays a key part in managing the financial and contractual obligations of major EfW projects and supporting the development of future plants within the Energy Division.\nMain Duties:\n * Managing, controlling and coordinating all financial activities across multiple EfW plants\n * Producing monthly management accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts with detailed analysis\n * Managing cashflow, invoicing and collection in line with contractual requirements\n * Coordinating the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and business plans\n * Managing payment mechanisms, including complex PFI-style contracts\n * Supporting operational management teams with interpretation of financial results\n * Producing financial analysis and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders\n * Supporting statutory accounts preparation and liaising with internal and external auditors\n * Acting as the main financial point of contact with lenders and stakeholders for financing arrangements\n * Ensuring compliance with loan agreements, financing arrangements and shareholder distributions\n * Supporting future Energy from Waste developments as the division grows\n * Managing, mentoring and developing finance staff where required\n * Attending internal and external meetings and travelling to sites as required\nCandidate Requirements:\n * ICAEW / CIMA / ACCA qualified finance professional\n * Strong experience in financial management and reporting within complex environments\n * Experience of PFI-style contracts and payment mechanisms\n * Background in energy, utilities, waste, manufacturing or processing industries\n * Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills\n * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues\n * Strong IT skills\n * Self-motivated, resilient and detail-focused\n * A collaborative team player with a proactive approach\n * Full UK driving licence\nThis vacancy is for a full-time position, working 8:30am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
