You will act as a financial expert for complex contracts, providing a framework to measure and guide performance, ensuring compliance with ISS corporate policies and safeguarding the company’s reputation. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build proactive relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders to optimise contract outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate the commercial finance team, ensuring robust controls and consistent processes across the business area. Develop and maintain professional, proactive relationships with client representatives and internal teams to drive performance. Provide financial support to senior managers and their teams, influencing commercial decision-making. Ensure timely and accurate forecasting, month-end reporting, and management of the budget planning process. Identify and mitigate key risks while maximising opportunities across the account portfolio. Manage, develop, and motivate the finance team, implementing actions to improve financial performance. Drive growth and maintain commercial control of project delivery processes, including supplier selection and scope change sign-off. Oversee billing, cash collection, and balance sheet management for the portfolio. Collaborate with Procurement and account teams to optimise supplier agreements and governance.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Commercially qualified accountant (CA, CIMA, ACCA). Commercial/financial experience in a commercial services contract environment (experience of NEC3/4 desirable). Prior client-facing experience is essential. Professional, committed, conscientious, proactive, and innovative. Positive attitude to change and ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Strong communicator, confident engaging with clients, operations, suppliers, and team members. Highly numerate, accurate, and able to work on your own initiative. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
