Senior Estimator

£80,000 + package

Fourblue have partnered with a well-established multi-utility contractor delivering large-scale water, gas, electricity and telecoms infrastructure projects across the UK. They’re looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team. Someone who can take the lead in producing accurate, competitive and commercially sound bids for a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates from first principles using industry-standard software
• Managing multiple tenders at once, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
• Leading bid processes, from analysing project scope and risks to pulling together final tender submissions
• Collaborating with operations teams to create programmes, define methodologies and capture all necessary information for project delivery
• Producing quantity take-offs, design sketches (where required) and complete submission packs for director review
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure all technical and commercial details are fully captured
• Supporting business development with accurate pricing and winning strategies
• Leading handover meetings with project teams to ensure smooth mobilisation post-award

Criteria for the Senior Estimator:

• Currently working in a similar role with hands-on experience in electrical tenders involving 11kV networks as well as water infrastructure tenders
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance competitiveness and profitability
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels
