Our client, a fast-growing clean-energy innovator transforming the way industries power their operations, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding R&D team. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of advanced electrical architectures, drive innovative R&D programmes, and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, high-performance hydrogen-powered technologies.\n  \n The Senior Electrical Engineer will:\n \nLead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for hydrogen-powered solutions, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with LV, MV, and HV standards. \nDrive innovation across R&D projects, applying first-principles thinking to develop and optimise next-generation electrical technologies.

\nManage and self-lead engineering research activities, integrating mechanical and controls engineering considerations as required. \nWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences. \nMentor and support colleagues within the R&D team, promoting best practice and maintaining high technical standards.

 \n The Senior Electrical Engineer will have:\n \nDegree qualified in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (1st class degree desirable; PhD or equivalent advantageous). \nHigh level of competence in electrical engineering from first principles, with the capability to act as technical authority. \nGood understanding of mechanical and controls engineering.

\nConfident liaising with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds. \nKnowledge of hydrogen fuel cells (desirable). \nExperience working with LV, MV, and HV power systems.
